Life Labs Privacy Policy
A mobile app that counts the days you have lived from your birth date and estimates the days ahead from population statistics and your lifestyle answers. This policy applies to this app only. The company privacy policy applies to the Duolabs website and other services.
Article 1. Personal Data Collected
Duolabs does not directly collect personal data through this app or retain it on company servers.
Article 2. Communication Leaving the Device
The Company does not collect personal data, but the app communicates with the services below in order to function. The following information may reach those services in the process.
- Expo EAS Update (expo.dev/privacy)
Information sent: Network information such as IP address, operating system, Expo project ID, a randomized installation token used to determine update downloads, and update request or error information
Purpose: Used to check for and download updates compatible with the current app version when the app opens. Expo processes this information under its policy. Duolabs does not link it to a user account or advertising profile.
Article 3. Things to Note
- There is no account, login, or sign-up. No information that could identify a user is created.
- The birth date, sex, and lifestyle answers you enter (including health-related answers such as smoking, drinking, and exercise) are written only to storage on your device. They are never sent to Duolabs servers, and the Company has no means of reading them.
- The app supports multiple profiles, so you can enter a birth date that is not your own. That information also stays on the device, but please obtain that person's consent before entering their information.
- Life expectancy figures are extracted in advance from Statistics Korea complete life tables and ship inside the app. No server communication is required to compute anything. Opening a source link from the settings screen launches your device browser, after which that site's policy applies.
- Notifications are local notifications scheduled on the device. No server-sent push notification capability is included.
- If you enable biometric unlock (Face ID or fingerprint), the app receives only the success or failure result reported by the operating system. The app never sees or stores fingerprint or face data itself.
- No usage analytics tools are included. There are no advertisements, payments, or social logins.
- Camera, microphone, contacts, and location permissions are blocked in the app configuration.
- Android auto backup is disabled. iOS system backup follows your settings and Apple's policy.
Article 4. Destruction of Personal Data
What remains on your device is limited to your profiles (birth date and sex), lifestyle answers, and display settings. “Erase all data” in the settings screen deletes the birth date, sex, and lifestyle answers of every profile at once (this cannot be undone), and deleting the app removes them as well. Duolabs keeps no separate copy.

This app retains no information that could identify a user, so there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about this policy or the app's handling of data, you may contact us below.
