Quote Kit Privacy Policy
A mobile app for building quotes from saved customers and line items and delivering them as PDFs. This policy applies to this app only. The company privacy policy applies to the Duolabs website and other services.
Article 1. Personal Data Collected
Duolabs does not directly collect personal data through this app or retain it on company servers.
Article 2. Communication Leaving the Device
The Company does not collect personal data, but the app communicates with the services below in order to function. The following information may reach those services in the process.
- Expo EAS Update (expo.dev/privacy)
Information sent: Network information such as IP address, operating system, Expo project ID, a randomized installation token used to determine update downloads, and update request or error information
Purpose: Used to check for and download updates compatible with the current app version when the app opens. Expo processes this information under its policy. Duolabs does not link it to a user account or advertising profile. - The operating system share sheet and the app or service selected by the user
Information sent: A quote PDF the user chose to share, which contains the customer's business name, contact details and address alongside the sender's company information, logo and seal, or an unencrypted .quotekit backup file
Purpose: Sent to the selected destination only when the user initiates sharing, saving, or backup export. The selected destination's policy governs retention and use after transfer. - External website opened by the user
Information sent: Ordinary web connection information such as IP address
Purpose: A request is sent through an external browser only when the user chooses to open the Duolabs homepage from Settings. Duolabs does not collect browsing history from the app. - Apple iCloud and device backup (www.apple.com/legal/privacy)
Information sent: Local app materials and settings that iOS determines are eligible for system backup
Purpose: Apple's system backup and restore may operate when the user enables iOS device backup. Inclusion and retention are governed by the user's settings and Apple's policy.
Article 3. Things to Note
- There is no account, login, sign-up, or first-party sync server. Duolabs does not directly collect or retain the quotes and customer details entered into the app.
- Quotes, line items, customers, saved items, company information, and settings are stored in the app's on-device database.
- Only the logo and seal images the user selects from their photos are copied into the app. The camera and microphone are not used.
- A quote that has already been issued keeps the customer's business name and contact details as of the issue date. Editing the customer later does not change quotes issued earlier.
- The app lock can be turned off in Settings. Face ID and fingerprint data are handled by the operating system; the app receives only the authentication result.
- Exported .quotekit backups are not encrypted and contain customer contact details along with logo and seal images. Do not expose them to other people or public storage, and delete them from the export location when no longer needed.
- No usage analytics, advertising, push notification, payment, or social login SDK is included.
- Android automatic backup is disabled. iOS system backup follows the user's settings and Apple's policy.
Article 4. Destruction of Personal Data
Duolabs does not retain quotes or customer details on company servers. On-device data can be removed by deleting individual quotes and customers, through ‘Delete all data’ in Settings, or by deleting the app. Backups and quote PDFs exported outside the app, and iOS system backups, are not removed when the app is deleted and must be deleted from the relevant location or service by the user.
Article 5. Your Rights
This app retains no information that could identify a user, so there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about this policy or the app's handling of data, you may contact us below.
